Vincent Van Gogh is the Coldplay of Post Impressionism in all the worst ways possible.

I certainly did not feel that when I saw the paintings in real life. I won’t say there was not an attempt to express emotion, which is great.

My main thought, however, is that they are both two things that have been kitchified and have become tacky, to their no fault of their own. I wouldn’t be surprised if Coldplay albums were sold at Hallmark as well.
