We as people often say “You made me feel this way” when sometimes it should be “You said (or did) this and it made me feel this way”. There is a difference between knowing the same language and understanding what someone is saying.

Perception and expectation are very dangerous when they are not let known. Avoid passiveness and confront. Remember, confront simply means “to bring attention” to so it is not to say it cannot be done with compassion.

If you don’t tell people how you feel, then they will not know…then it is nobody’s fault but your own.
