That awkward moment when you realize that 90s Kurt Russell film “Soldier” takes place in the same universe as Blade Runner…
These last few days were my first time staying in downtown Washington DC. It’s definitely a circular city as opposed to New York’s massive grid. You don’t really go the wrong direction in DC, but continue to veer off course.
Had a wonderful time though!
Tears in the Rain
When I was a kid and watched Blade Runner I never really understood this scene. The older I get, the more it becomes one of my favorite movie scenes of all time. Truly poetic.
“Steve Rogers is and will always be the greatest leader in the history of comics. Despite being human, he leads Gods into battle. People all over the universe are in awe of his ability to inspire and lead. His infinite supply of willpower and courageousness are something no other super hero can equal, and something that demands the respect of all who witness it.”
Every time I hire a new designer, I have my routine of walking to Park Life SF and buying an onboarding gift for them. I’ve been pretty open about a lot of things I don’t like about San Francisco, but Clement St. out in the Richmond is one of the neighborhoods I absolutely adore. If you’re ever in San Francisco stop by the story or shop online.
It really disappoints me to see when companies have listings for every position that is remote friendly and then design has to be in the same location. I really challenge the notion of that, and that good design process can be remote and asynchronous if you design and nurture it.
